Yes, you need to register each of your NAICs separately. Register by clicking on the New User Registration link on the NevadaIVS website.

What if we have a small Book of Business and filing FTP will put a strain on our technical resources?
If you insure less than 500 vehicles in Nevada an alternative reporting process is available to you. Please review Section 5, page 13 “BOB Reporting by Smaller Insurance Companies” of the Implementation Guide for additional Details.

How can we correct/change the contact information for our company?
Log in to the www.NevadaIVS.com website, click on Account Information, and change the contact information.

I have forgotten my User Name, how can I retrieve it?
For insurance company users, your User Name is the same as your NAIC number.

I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
You can reset your password by selecting the Forgot/Reset Password link located on the log in screen of the NevadaIVS website. After selecting this link you must provide the answer to the secret question. A temporary password will be sent to the main/functional contact for the account by answering the question correctly.

Is the website password totally independent of the FTP account credentials?
Yes, they are independent.

We represent three NAIC codes. Can we report all three companies in one Book of Business file or should we send three separate files?
You must submit one Book of Business file per NAIC number.

How do I change my web account password?
Login to the www.NevadaIVS.com website using your username and password, Select "Account Information" in the top menu, Check the "Do you want to update your password?" check box and follow the steps. If you have previously submitted a secret question and answer, then the answer will be needed to modify the password.

Could you provide clarification on the vehicle types to be reported to NevadaIVS?

• Vehicles registered through the International Registration Plan (IRP/Motor Carrier Division) are not required to be reported.

What is the timeline for Nevada IVS to go live?
www.NevadaIVS.com will be available for Insurers to register staring 01/31/2024 and the deadline to register is 02/29/2024. The deadline to start testing is 05/15/2024 and NevadaIVS will be in production by 07/31/2024.

Is Commercial reporting required?
Yes, commercial reporting is required. Please refer to the Implementation Guide for details regarding commercial reporting.

Should vehicles on comprehensive only polices be reported?
Reporting of comprehensive-only policies is not mandatory. If insurers include comprehensive-only policies in the Book of Business files, the Comprehensive Indicator should be set to 'Y' for those policies.
Q.
When can we stop reporting to the NV LIVE's legacy Insurance Verification System run by the DMV?
NV LIVE’s current insurance verification system will be discontinued when the DMV IT infrastructure transformation is completed. Until then, insurers should also continue their current reporting to NV LIVE’s current system. DMV will issue communication informing insurers when the system is discontinued.
